Finished a BSc in Computer Science at UEA this summer, with a dissertation on agile and lean methodologies for deploying software in operational start-up contexts: what actually works, what doesn't, and where the conventional wisdom breaks down. Four of the essays in the archive come out of it.
August was the busiest month here on record. Two client sites went live, New Vision Packaging and Corby United, built to opposite architectures on the same piece of evidence. LapDelta shipped too, which is where the Rust went: the compute core is Rust compiled to WebAssembly and it is doing real work at sixty frames a second, so it has stopped being a language I'm looking at and become one I use. Go is still just curiosity.
Reading Seneca's On the Shortness of Life alongside Maxims and Reflections. Only the first of those is stoic; I just like reading in snippets.
